Wild rose floral sugar bowl with lid, made by Bawo & Dotter in the Limoges Region of France.  Embossed ivy and swirls; pattern is hand-painted over red stencil.  Impressed "B/D/L/Depose" mark on bottom, dates from the late 1800s, when the importing firm started manufacturing their own wares. Measures 7"h to top of lid handle.  Very good condition with only one small chip to the rim of the bowl.  Sold as is.  Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
