Antique, 16th-17th century, Islamic, Persian, or Ottoman, flanged war mace with a hand forged, pear -shaped solid iron head formed of fifteen sturdy flanges, with an integral socket of cylindrical section with wooden haft.

 

CONDITION: Showing the age and usage with a dark patina, the socket with old repair by brass, the wooden haft with cracks.

 

MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 53.5 cm (21.06 inches). Height of the iron head including socket: 11 cm (4.33 inches).

 

WEIGHT: 1/2 kg (1.10 pounds)
