Antique 1.0 inch Socket Corner Chisel

$60.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a nice clean 1 inch wide cutting edge corner chisel.  It is sharpened on two sides that are 90 degrees apart.
Each cutting edge has been sharpened and is ready to use.  The socket handle is well attached somewhat compressed from years of use but the socket at one end and the iron ring on the other end has kept the wood from cracking to the point of needing to replace.  There are a few places where small amounts of wood is chipped off, but quite useable in this condition.  As you can see there is quite a bit of scale on the inside and side surface, most of which most likely from the original sand cast process in the factory.  I don't see a maker's name on it anywhere, but it's good quality steel and holds a decent cutting edge.  It's 16.5 inches long overall, no rust, a good user.  Most likely from the mid-1800's era.
