Authentic ancient Egyptian ca. 1200-300 B.C blue glaze faience amulet of Sekhmet, the lion-goddess, standing in a long gown with a necklace draping down her chest, hands at her side. She wears on her head the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt.
She was both a fierce lioness and the goddess of medicine connected with the soothing of illness and warding off trouble in general.
MEASUREMENTS: Height: approximately 4.8 cm (1 7/8 in).
CONDITION: Extremely well made with nice details, fully intact. No repairs or restoration with nice, showing its age, patina.
