Napoleonic French Sterling Cruet Stand

This is an extraordinary French sterling silver cruet stand dating from the end of the Napoleon I reign or early part of the Restauration period. Underside bears the impressed maker's mark "DG", classical female bust and standing bird profile with wings extended which is the French Standard or Title mark used 1809-19. There is also an impressed mark which appears to be a crab on the top of the platform base. Measures 12.5" high, 8.5" wide and 5.5" deep. Weighs 13.1 regular ounces and 334 grams. Features exceptional craftsmanship throughout. No known and/or visible signs of restoration or repair. Very little polish wear.
