We are pleased to offer a wonderful silvered bronze paperwight dating from the French 2nd Empire. It has two naked angels, one sitting on an anvil, fabricating half a heart. The other half has already been forged and is sitting near the base of the anvil. The staue group is mounted on a red marble base that is then attached to a black stone base. A really splendis piece. In really superb condition. The only defect noted is that the hammer held by the angel sitting on the anvil has a slight bend.
