Beautiful Mt. Washington glass and silverplate biscuit barrel (or jar) in the Japanese Aesthetic style. Melon-shape blue satin glass decorated with large gold mums painted on both sides. The steep conical top is reminiscent of a pagoda despite the garland around the base and flame finial.
MARKED:
MW 4415 on Silverplate lid.
3914 50 on bottom of glass jar.

Circa 1880's to 1900
MEASURES: 7 inches diameter, 7 inches overall height
Very good condition. No chips, cracks, dings or repairs found. Silverplate is worn as seen in photos.
