Millers Falls 3-Jaw Drill Chuck w/Spindle Shaft

$35.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a very nice keyless 1/2" diameter maximum capacity 3-jaw drill chuck for holding straight shank drill bits.  Also included is a threaded spindle shaft, most likely removed from a breast drill type tool.  The spindle cross pin is included also. The chuck is marked "MILLERS FALLS  MILLERS FALLS MASS. PAT. OCT.23.1900" in a smooth area between the knurled areas.  The chuck and the spindle have been tested, they run true/concentric to center.  The spindle does have some dings on the smooth section but the threaded section looks good, and operates the open/close of the chuck jaws just fine. The jaws and jaw springs are in good working order.  We note minor wear and storage type dings on the exterior, none effecting precision or operation.  No rust, no damage, minor pitting on nearly all exterior surface, clean!

The chuck is designed to be used on the Millers Falls breast drills and has the .560"-24 threads per inch which is the standard on many Millers Falls and some Goodell-Pratt breast drill models.  This is a very well engineered chuck, and will snug up a round shank drill bit nice and tight and is reliable if you give it a few drops of oil every now and then.
