1960s Mid-Century Architectural Series Armchair by Harvey Probber

Unavailable

This rare Architectural Series chair by Harvey Probber (1922-2003) dates from as early as 1960, and features a walnut frame with mirror-polished stainless steel legs, and its original button-back blue vinyl seat and back cushions.  Overall condition is good.  The color of the vinyl is vibrant and there are no tears, ink marks or deep scratches to the upholstery.  There are noticeable scratches and scuffs to the wooden surfaces, consistent with age.  The rear, left leg is just a bit loose and can probably be easily fixed with a shim. The original Harvey Probber label is not present.   Dimensions: 30" H X 26" W X 26" D (76.2 cm H X 66.0 cm W X 66.0 cm D).   Seat height is 17 in (43.2 cm). The Architectural Series was distinguished for its designs for both home and office, including sofa, chair, credenza, cabinet, desk and bench.
