Beautiful artisan-made sterling silver jewelry from Mexico. We purchased the necklace and earing set together. They are not an exact match, but they look great together.
The necklace has Meso-american style masks carved from Mexican Jade or jadeite set in Silver.
MEASURE:
Necklace: 16-1/2 inches overall length.
Central pendant: 1-1/2 x 1-1/4 inch.
Small masks: 3/4 x 3/4 inch.
The screw back earrings feature large, beveled triangles of Mexican Jade or jadeite also set in Sterling with simple chased native designs.
MEASURE: 3/4 inches wide x 1 3/4 inches long.
Both pieces have Mexican STERLING and artisan hallmarks. Sorry, we do not know the makers.
Circa 1940s
Very good overall condition. There is a little flake off the nose of the center piece of the necklace. No other damage to stones or metal. Could use a little polish.
