Her is an outstanding lamp table made by the Merklen Bros of New York City about 1890. The table top is solid walnut with the legs a dye stained birch to match the top. The table has the characteristic cork screw legs and cross members of Merklen Bros work and the tell tale reeded bulb high on each leg. The table retains the manufacturers hand painted number 832 under the table top. Each legs ends in a brass clawfoot holding a wooden ball. The finish is original except for the table top which has been refinished. This table is in excellent condition and is a real show piece for any home or office.
