Large Meriden silverplate filigree "ferner" for holding a fern or other plant. Intricate Renaissance Revival pattern of swirling foliage with birds and leopard heads. PLEASE NOTE this holder should have a liner.
MARKED: Meriden Quadruple plate 4000, as seen in photo. Made in Meriden, Connecticut.
Circa late 1800s to early 1900s
MEASURES: 7 inch diameter X 3 3/4 inches tall
Very Good overall condition. No cracks or repairs. Some silver wear.
