This porcelain Meissen figurine of an African or South American black woman dancing with a parrot on her right hand. Measures approx. 11" in height and 4" in diameter at the round base. This woman is dressed in a white dress with hints of blue and yellow along the edges, a long white cape or cloak draped over her shoulder, and a white hat with yellow and orange tints. The hat hangs down in the back with a ball on the end like a court jester might wear. A parrot with its head cocked to the left sits on her right hand which is raised in the air over her head. This figurine is in fine original condition with no signs of restoration! No cracks, chips, or repairs! Marked on the side of the base with blue Meissen crossed swords, and impressed on the bottom with: A1149.
