This is a good clean, quality made fully brass bound 24" 4 fold rule. It has good markings, and nice snug hinges and center joint. All three brass alignment pins are present and in working order. No issues on this brass bound boxwood rule. This one is flat and straight, no warping. The pins were most likely removed when this rule was new, since there is no sight of wear around the pin holes from miss-alignment, as we would see on rules with pins. There is a little bit more wear on the outside wood, than the more protected inside wood, but the graduations can be seen well on either. We do note that there is some light scratches on the outside section between the 21 and 22 inch part of this rule. It's marked "LUFKIN NO. 781 WARRENTED BOXWOOD USA". A nice clean well made rule!
