A Georgian Somerset oak longcase clock. A swan-neck hood pediment with brass finial. Brass capped hood columns. Choice quarter sawn oak to the trunk door. A square painted dial with gilt and shell corner decorations. Seconds and date indicators. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours on a bell.
Andrew Rich of Bridgewater is recorded in A J Moores' 'Somerset Clockmakers' book as working from 1819 -1831. He worked in Fore Street.
