LATE MING KANGXI BLANC DE CHINE LIBATION CUP

Very nice Chinese libation cup on stand. Classic early piece probably Kang Xi / early Ching but possibly as early as Ming. 5 1/2" wide and 3 1/4" tall.

Provenance: This piece was owned by Helen Nelson who's family founded the Nelson Atkins museum of Art in Kansas City and specialized in Asian Art. They also founded the Kansas City Star which is still the main newspaper of KC. This was purchased in the 1930s as most all of her oriental items were this was lot #152 at her sale. Perfect condition save for a very minor glaze flake at rim.
