A large and early pair of Chelsea porcelain Bocage Figural Candlesticks with attractive characters holding chicken posing in front of the bocage. They date from slightly before the are from the gold anchor period of Chelsea 1758-1770 and are in good condition with some damage to flower tips, one chicken head is replaced, a flower from the mans hand is missing, and minor chips to some of the leaves and flower tips, cracks to base possibly from the factory as the are no chips or other evidence of damage. The size is 11" H x 7" W would be even taller with the candleholders installed. Circa 1750 and a rare as heck pair.
