Large oval pottery turkey platter from Italy, hand painted, featuring a large and a small turkey, an oak leaf and acorn border, black foliage, and orange pumpkins. This substantial platter measures about 18 inches high, 23.25 inches wide, and 2.75 inches deep, and weighs about 8 pounds. On the back, it is numbered and signed. Condition is very good, with a small, shallow glaze flake on the rim (seen in one of the photographs), along with a few somewhat rough spots on the edges, and a handful of very small areas of discoloration.
