This wonderful Antique Chinese Window Screen features a repeating and overlapping geometric pattern as a background with hand-carved figures of birds (spirituality), flowers (growth and beauty), and butterflies (longevity) interspersed within the design and conveying symbolic meanings to the viewer. The center circle of this Antique Chinese Window Screen shows a mythological story of a bird conveying a message to a boar, of which the symbolic meaning has been lost to the ages.
