This is a nice clean hanging type, 30 pound maximum spring scale marked "LANDERS IMPROVED CIRCULAR SPRING BALANCE TO WEIGH 30 BBS BY OUNCES EACH 10 # IS MARKED ON THE SLIDE THE INTERMEDIATE WEIGHTS ON THE CIRCLE" on the brass face or cover plate. The slide mentioned is also brass and has the 10 pound markings and graduations on it. The scale can be used with a pan that is hung from the extra loop on the hook if you have one. The scale is in working condition, as you can see the brass cover plate has some bends and dings in it near the top and bottom mostly, the area around the circular dial is in very good shape, good indicator pointer, and the ring and hook are in nice shape. The back frame of the scale is cast iron with about 90% of the black paint intact, no rust, clean, no damage or cracks on the iron. The brass plate measures 4.25" wide x 10.8 high. A nice heavy duty antique hanging scale overall!
