L and M Cigarettes Said Could Not Be Done Ad 1958 This is a May 12, 1958 advertisement. It is a nice color 1 and 1/2 page ad from Liggett and Myers Tobacco Company.Ad shows picture of first airplane, and they said could not be done but the Wright brother stayed in the air 59 seconds. They said could not be done with a filter cigarette but puff by puff todays L and M gives you less tars and more taste with an improved filter. In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This magazine tear sheet measures on one page 5 inches wide by 14 inches tall and 2nd page 10 inches wide by 14 inches tall.
