KPM Plaque Depicting Cupid Undressing Venus

Our client's lovely, erotic porcelain plaque from KPM, circa 1860s, depicts an angel undressing a beautiful woman on her bed, representing Amor (Cupid), son of the goddess of love, Venus, and Mars, god of war, the figures from Roman mythology.  (In Greek mythology, Cupid is known as Eros, son of Aphrodite.)  Painted by Emil Ens (1824-1898).  Signed Ens lower right corner.  Plaque approximately 7 1/2 by 10 inches.  Period giltwood frame 15 1/2 by 18 inches.

Plaque in excellent condition with tiny nicks and light scratches.  Frame with cracks, scratches, rubbing wear and apparent restoration above the plaque.
