This "Human Skull Cap" was used by Buddhist Priets in religeous ceramonials. They were used fron the late 19 th century to the present. They are called KAPALA Sacred Human Skull Caps. It is made from the actual top of a human skull decorated with Sterling Silver and semi precious stones. They were used as drinking vessels for Wines as well as Blood drinking. I would say that the collecting of such things comes under the heading of the" MACABRE" There is no crazing or staining It came from a long time collection of a man and his wife who were both teachers and traveled the World over and collected many unusual things in the 1950's on. They have both passed and the family is liquidating their treasures. We do combine shipping cost but not to the West or East coast areas. The shipping for this item is $20.00.
