The German-born Andreas was the son of the painter Lionel Feininger. When he came to the US he was associated for many years with LIFE magazine. His photographs of NYC are among his most celebrated works. This large extremely rich print was printed in 1976, and is the 8th (low number!) of an edition of 100. The negative was shot in 1952.
