This is a nice clean used 1.25" diameter double spiral, double spur auger bit marked JAMES SWAN on the shank.  The shank size is 3/8" and has a small flat ground on it for a set screw I suppose, to keep the shank from spinning inside the holder during use.  There is some wear on the shank but can be held well in a 3 jaw chuck.  The cutting edges are in very good shape, sharp and ready to use.
