With superb detail and movement in the round. The entire piece (including the base) was painstakingly rendered from a single piece of ivory and would make an outstanding addition to any fine collection. Although the Tang Dynasty which began in 618 and ended in the year 909 was long gone before the crafting of this sculpture.
