Italian Rococo Majolica Jardiniere & Stand

This lovely majolica jardiniere features a brown glaze on blue ground, with raised c-scroll and shell motifs throughout on the pot and matching stand. Jardiniere on stand measures 43" tall. Handled jardiniere measures 14.75" high, 17" wide and 13.5" deep, and features a reticulated panel in front and rear and four legs. Stand measures 28.5" high, has a flat top measuring 12.5" in diameter and a base 17" in diameter. No hallmarks have been found. Believed to be of Italian origin, it was purchased in the 1970s from the Robinson brothers of Harrison NY, who were two leading antique dealers operating in the New York metro area in the 1960s and 1970s. There are no known repairs or restorations, and no visible cracks. Shipping point: Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York city.
