- Quantity Available: 1
Italian micromosaic pendant on original rolled mesh chain. Gilded brass, marked "Italy". Ca. 1900. Floral motif with cut-out border in Roman style tesserae, as many such pieces were sold in Rome to tourists as souvenirs. Necklaces are generally harder to find than brooches. Chain measures 30"l; pendant 1" x 1.5" rectangular. Gold plating shows wear in several places, revealing a green patina to the brass. Most plating on the chain is intact, with only a few small dark areas and kinks. One tiny (too small to photograph) mosaic piece missing on lower edge of outside border. Sold as is.
