Unavailable
An Imperial Russian( Russian Empire -Poland)Candlestick circa 1900 made of silver. Hand chiseled and engraved in a neoclassic pattern, very fancy detail ornate. The candlestick is stamped on the base with several marks Russian And Polish : 1) A Russian Imperial proof mark (women's head with a diadem) 2) PL in a square ( L is with a ~ in the middle) 3) Also a Polish stamp, women's head with the number 2 (that is 875 grade silver) 4) The Silversmith mark, although I was not able to make it out After Poland regained independence in 1918 a law was in place that all silver on the market, new and old, had to be stamped with the Polish silver hallmarks. Therefore quite often you can see many Imperial Russian Silver pieces stamped with the Polish hallmarks. The candlestick is in very good condition, no dents, cracks or repairs. The base is filled with plaster for stability. It is 12 ¾ inches(32 1/2cm) tall and the base is 5 inches(12.7cm) wide.
