We are privileged to offer an important Imperial German Prussian military Order of the Black Eagle presentation silver tray dating to around 1890. To the front of the tray is engraved is the Prussian Order of the Black Eagle. The motto of the Order "Suum Cuique" is written above the Crowned Imperial Eagle.
To the reverse of this important piece are the names of the titled individuals who were members of this principle German Order: including among the two levels of the engravings: Prince Fredrich Prinz von Preussen, Leopold, Counts von Bruhl, Droste zu Vishering ; Heinrich XIX Prinz von Reuss, Grafs von Hohenau, von Matuschtra, von Schulenberg, with many others of the cream of the German military and aristocracy.
It should be noted that this tray was clearly used and there are a number of minor scratches and a reltively rim bend, probably from having been dropped.
Absolutely authentic and extremely rare; it merits to be in a museum. This tray measures 13 inches in diameter (33 cm) Reasonable offers only will be considered.
