Excellent Hepplewhite American 1790-1810 Secretary Dresser. North Eastern Massachusetts or NE New Hamphire style with front "drop tablet" skirt trim. Provenance: signed drawer "George * Camps * Draw * Oct 24th*. Excellent condition, a few minor pieces of veneer missing at edge near draws. Drawer runner edge bottoms re-enforced, left front leg has a piece of wood missing from side of carved foot. Side skirt section re-glued on right lower side 5 inch piece. Top appears to be Cherry Wood and has a "V" shape surface crack/separation. Newer (circa 1920-40) pulls with second hole drilled in faces. Keys included and secret drawer in desk. Signed on draw "George: Camps: Draw: Oct 24". All appears original except the pulls; also the lower front skirt with rectangle plaque facing is a solid complete full length piece is example of the NE Mass/NH style of construction.
