For Sale I have a very hard to find Dresser Jar or Humidor Cover or Lid that was made by Otto Heintz and The Art Metal Shop of Buffalo, New York. The bottom lip measures 3 1/2" inside fit and 3 5/8" outside fit.

The Lid displays one of the nicest Verdi Green/Brown with Red Highlights Patina I have ever seen on a Heintz piece. The Patina resembles a Tiffany Studios New York Patina and Handel Lamp out of Meridan, Connecticut There is an applied Silver Arts and Crafts design that displays an Strong Indian Influenced Arrowhead Design at the corner edges of a Diamond. The Inside of the lid displays a much brighter Verdi Green Patina. There is Cavity or area in which it appears a Sponge or a Brush could sit. I feel this is more of a Humidor than a Dresser Jar and I welcome anyone with more information on this.

The Lid or Cover is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no major dents, dings or cracks to the Metal. The only issues is some tarnishing on the Silver and that is common with Silver and the Heintz pieces. There is the smallest of an indent on the bottom and can be seen only upon very close inspection. My camera a 10x and it appears very small even under that magnification. I have left the Silver Overlay in its natural found state and will let the lucky winner clean it if they desire. The piece is unsigned but there is no mistaken that this was made by Heintz as they Patented this process in 1911.

Those of you who collect Heintz pieces and want a Great example of their Verdi Green Patina should not let this one slip by. You could also use this as a Paperweight in your desk Collection of Heintz Items while you waited for the Humidor or Dresser Jar bottom to come along. Maybe there is that Collector taht has been looking for this very hard to find Part. This piece was made Circa 1906-1918.
