Soup plate or rimmed bowl with topmark for the Hamburg American Line of Germany, first transatlantic passenger service to the U.S..   Brown anchor logo with letters "H.A.P.A.G." which stand for Hamburg Amerikanische Packetfahrt Aktien Gesselschaft.  Marked "Unteroffiziere" for Officer's mess.   Made by Fraureuth China, green mark and impressed mark, 1898-35.   Measures 9.5"d  x 1.75"h.  Moderate wear to the surface, but no chips or cracks.  Sold as is.   Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
