Gold Medal featuring Fiesta 1939 Ad. This color July, 1939 ad states Its Easy to bake and easy to take. We asked 106 women to make an inexpensive sponge cake. Only 23 turned out as perfectly as this one. Picture shows butter sponge cake with strawberry and peach toppings and displayed on Fiesta Dinnerware by Homer Laughlin. Also picture of Betty Crocker. Magazine tear sheet picture is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/4 inches wide by 13 3/4 inches tall.
