Here's the REAL story behind this piece:  I have a gentlemen friend whose (grand)father worked for Gettelmen.  A co-worker of his handmade this scoop ladle specifically for testing beer samples out of the big vats of beer they made.....this is a real one of a kind piece; made entirely of brass, this piece measures 28 inches long and has a slight bend to it; no identifying marks; in GREAT condition; the scoop is 3 inches long by 4 1/2 inches round......a definite piece of conversation and perfect for your collection
I am an antique junkie.  I do a lot of traveling attending local auctions and estate sales, particulary in my home state and while I try to give as best description as possible when listing items, bear in mind I am not an expert.  That what you see is how it is presented to me.
