Antique Georgian Belt 1800's CUT STEEL faux marcasites renaissance revival accessory

Unavailable

Cut and polished steel jewelry became fashionable first in England and then on the Continent beginning in the late eighteenth century. In the end steel jewelry became so fashionable that it was imitated in silver. This belt has one of the most beautiful and intricate patterns that I have ever seen. The diamond cut does make it sparkle and it is beyond stunning. The belt measures 25" long and is 2" at its widest.. The loop on the end of the belt actually fits thru a pre-designed hole to make it close. The metal was tested with a magnet which it stick to. The hook has been professionally resoldered ( see photo). I doubt you will ever see anything like this so don't miss out on it at the last minute. Ask about our ten percent off special before you buy, it could save you a lot of money.
