General Motors Hardest Part Ad 1945. This is a May 29, 1945 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from General Motors. Shows a little girl trying to thread a needle. She apparently going to sew some doll clothes. Ad reads, Stick at it Sister, For the first part is often hardest, you have to thread that needle before you can sew a fine seam, It is like a job we had to do once on an engine.. When we got it done, the engine helped lighten the worlds work and fight the war, all at the same time. In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/4 inches tall.
