Garland Soft-Face Mallet Split Head No. 5 Size

$65.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a nice vintage split head w/No-mar industrial plastic replaceable faces at each end of this mallet made in U.S.A..  It has one large ring nut that presses the two steel jaws together to hold the mallet face inserts in place.  The end steel is marked GARLAND NO. 5 SACO MAINE.  The original Ash handle has been slight modified as seen in photos to give the user a little better grip, but the handle is in great shape, no cracks, clean.  As you can see in the photos, this mallets in good working order with minimal wear overall, some soft face edges are chipped or dinged but the inserts are not cracked and are very tightly held by the two steel jaws.  A useful and well made tool.  This mallet is 12 long x 3.5 inch diameter steel jaws.  It weighs a total of 6.61 pounds.
