Additional photos available. Hand carved walnut French rose velvet settee with tufted back and down cushion late 19th century. Wonderful floral and leaf carving along the scalloped and scrolled back and side frame as well as the acanthus leaf carving along the lower front. Six short cabriole legs with escargot feet. Padded nicely with excellent tight springs and an over stuffed down cushion make sitting extremely comfortable. The rose velvet with double welting has been on the piece for a few years as slightly different hue than below the cushion but in excellent condition with only one tiny brownish stain toward the back of cushion where does not show. Plenty of years wear left in the existing fabric. The frame also in excellent condition without nicks,dings or scratches. Measures 46L X 36H X 24D.
