French Renaissance Drawing by L. Saalburg Ad 1947 This is a March 1947 drawing. It is a nice color drawing by Leslie Saalburg. The drawing is to display mens fashions. In this drawing you are looking through an archway at the Ritz in Paris, and note in addition to new curtains in Morgans Bank, the fashion scene has had a face lift too. Two out of three men wear soft black hats with narrow brims and pinched crowns, while the other prefers a bowler. That printed Paisley foulard muffler and chamois gloves accent a peak lapel diagonal weave overcoat. La Belle France, you see, is coming round nicely. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 9 1/4 inches wide by 13 inches tall.
