French Napoleonic Lancers Sword Saber

French Napoleonic Lancers Officers Sword with the pattern number 1802. Such swords were carried by officers of the famous Polish lancers, the personal body guards of emperor Napoleon I. The sword as an outstanding long blade engraved with emblems of axes, lances, drums and floral patterns. The three bars guard of brass is particularly well executed. The grip is made of wood, covered by leather, which is partly deteriorated. The blade is approximately 33 1/2 inches (85 cm) long. Entire length; 38 1/2 inches (97,5 cm).
