Nice early 22 1/2" French Bisque Bebe, marked F.9.G. (Frances Gaultier), c. 1880. The doll features a bisque socket head, composition jointed body, jointed wrists, beautiful paperweight eyes, closed mouth and a cork pate with curly white hair. She has nicely rouged cheeks and a dimple chin. All clothes are vintage with the peach wool dress being accessorized with a laced bonnet, small chatelain style leather purse with a tiny lace hankie enclosed inside. Very minor damage noted in the dress, some buttons missing - otherwise, a beautiful example for a collection.
