To a fine quality neoclassic English pierced and engraved serpentine fireplace fender. The central tablet showing Neptune with trident sitting a carriage drawn by sea horses and pushed by a dolphin. On either end are neoclassic urns engraved with flowers surrounded by fluting. This rare fender is constructed of many brass castings bolted together. The original sheet iron pan remains with some fire damage. The brass has been polished and treated with conservation lacquer.
