To a 3 piece cast iron fireplace liner set. In the neoclassic style. The central plate is signed by the maker, "Hopewell Furnac." This set was made circa. 1810-1820 and is all in good order with rich ornament. The set was used to line and protect the interior of a common brick fireplace. At this period coal was starting to be used as fuel, which would breakdown the brick. The straight backplate is cast with fan and pilaster patera. The 2 curved sides also have a single fan with 3 pilasters and a vertical garland top with basket of fruit. Note: Hopewell Furnace was located in Eastern Penna. And known for high quality work.
