This is a fantastic female oil painting on board by the Hungarian artst, Ferenc Semjen (1885-1948). Measures 19.5" by 26.75" and weighs approximately 1 lbs. Board is warped, but there is little if any damage to the paint surface. Signed "Semjen" by the artist in the lower right corner. From 1916 his genre and landscape paintings were regularly displayed in the two leading Hungarian Galleries: the National Salon and the Gallery of Hungarian Fine Art. This work was recently purchased at estate sale in Budapest. Additional images forwarded upon request. We recently had this work framed and will be updating our listing shortly with new images.
