PRICE REDUCED!! Staebel Antiques offers this wonderful, Regency style mahogany table with 2 drop leaves from the Federal Period about 1820. The mahogany is a rich red brown color that says class and quality. The brasses give it a regal look! There is one drawer opposing a false drawer. The drawer sides and botom is made from solid quartersawn oak, have handcut dovetails and chamfered bottom. You can see the hand plane marks on the drawer bottom boards. The table top is supported on a square sectional pedestal which sits on concave sided platform base. The legs have an acanthus leaf carved at the hip and sweep downward ending in a solid brass clawfoot with brass caster ( all original). The entire piece is handmade, well done, dovetail construction. All screws are handmade. The two drop leafs swing up to produce a top 34.75 by 39.25 inches. Metal staps have been added to the underside of all 4 legs long ago for stability. Our restoration professionals have been thru this entire piece to restore it to its original beauty and assure its excellent condition. Here is a real heirloom that is a beauty in any room.
