American Federal Giltwood and Eglomise Banjo Clock, 19th Century; Featuring rope molded gilt frames enclosing reverse-painted glasses, the lower depicting Mount Vernon, the top the American Shield and scrolling acanthus leaves, with brass side ornaments and a bezel over the painted iron dial. Eight-day brass time-only weight-powered movement. Exhibited: My Old Kentucky Home, Bardstown KY, 1970-4. Provenance: Directly descended through the family. Inscribed on back in pencil: Wm. H.
