Faiangas Berardos hand painted tile set of 6. Very nice work on this set of tiles. They are ceramic, nice quality and when they are all together they form a street scene with a pair of cows pulling a sled with a girl in it through the city. It is signed by the artist Faiangas Berardos and titled Ilha Da Madeira. Each tile is 6 x 6"" forming a 12 x 18"" picture. 4 of them are glued to a piece of masonite, and 2 of them are loose from it. They will come off the board for use in a kitchen tile design or the other two can be glued back on the board and framed to hang in a room. They are probably from the 1960-70 era, very elegant. Picture looks lighter on one side than the other, it is just lighting, not the tiles. They are painted on white background. The bottom right tile has one corner that is broke, but it all there and will show very little if any when applied to wall or picture.
