Erie Railroad 50 Cents Day Hires Camel Ad 1945 This is a October 220, 1945 advertisement. It is a nice black and white ad from Erie Railroad. Ad shows an American talking to an Arab. Reads, in southern Arabia you can hire a camel, plus the required attendant for about 50 cents a day. If you want to move a ton of freight you would need 4 camels. On the Erie shippers can move freight at high speed for an average cost of less than one cent a ton mile. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 4 3/4 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches tall.
