As the original owner who purchased this tool brand new back in 1980, It can engrave from 1 to 6 identical articles simultaneously and has jewelry industry precision. I can tell you it has been an invaluable tool for me any anyone doing any sort of reduction or enlarging engraving. With a six head unit you can engrave 6 pieces of jewelry at a clip, etc. I removed one of the spindle heads along time ago to use on a different machine and do not know where it is at this moment. So you are purchasing the complete unit less one spindle head motor.
